What Type of iPhone User Are You?

With Apple's iPhone taking over the industry and recently celebrating it's 10,000^th application, it's no wonder that many are interested in the individuals that own this device. I'm not a big fan of Apple products and as a result, I don't own this smartphone but many of my friends do and it's almost as if the phones have to be surgically removed from their palms. So what is it that makes these individuals tick?

US-based Retrevo recently conducted a survey to try and get inside the minds of the 'typical' iPhone user in it's Gadgetology Report, an ongoing study of people and electronics from the consumer electronics shopping site Retrevo.com. The results were somewhat interesting although it's accuracy can be questioned. Are you one of the statistics?

Have you ever texted or emailed someone to break up with them?

One in three iPhone owners has texted or emailed their significant other to break up.

What makes a person most attractive to you?

iPhone owners prefered cool gadgets over a college degree three to one.

If a potential romantic partner had out-of-date gadgets (a non-smartphone, an ancient computer, etc), would that be a turn off?

One in three iPhone owners say that, if their partner had out-of-date gadgets, it would be a turnoff.

One in five iPhone owners admits to frequently watching “adult material” on their iPhones. (Twice as many as BlackBerry owners).

Have you broken off a romantic relationship because the other person spent too much time with their mobile device?

One in four iPhone users has broken up with their partner because that person spent too much time on their mobile device.

Compared with other cell phone users, iPhone owners are more likely to see themselves as media buffs, extroverts, and intellectuals.

The survey was a study between iPhone vs Blackberry users and consisted of online users (non-Retrevo users), conducted by an independent panel.
